Angle Mort - Stéphanie Morin-Robert's Show

ANGLE MORT is a true-to-life comedy on growing up in northern Ontario with a glass eye. The autobiographical play tells the story of Stéphanie Morin-Robert's troubled childhood and how, from the age of 8, she overcame her fear of being different. With the help of her cat, a pair of sunglasses and an unwanted magical power, she discovers she has what it takes to face her bullies at her new school and come to terms with her disability.

This solo autobiography show places Stéphanie Morin-Robert at the heart of the story. She upstages (and on screen) her childhood story and how she has grown up with a glass eye. But it's also the story of her quest as an adult to push back the boundaries of representing a woman's body on stage. Surrounded by a screen, a light and a camera, she generously invites us into her intimacy as well as into her head, literally. A mix of storytelling, contemporary dance, live projection and puppetry featuring her glass eye. Charming, touching, unexpected and laugh-out-loud funny, ANGLE MORT is a captivating tale delivered with vulnerability by an infectious performer.

Stéphanie Morin-Robert is a French-Canadian multidisciplinary artist renowned for her talent and charm. Since 2002, she has distinguished herself on the international artistic scene with tours of prestigious festivals, theaters and schools. Her rich and varied repertoire includes award-winning works such as BLINDSIDE, The Merkin Sisters, INK, and ANGLE MORT. Acclaimed by critics and audiences alike, she combines creativity, professionalism and a captivating stage presence.

The Petits matins en musique

These sessions are for parents and their children aged 0 to 6. Come and enjoy family time with French nursery rhymes and games, while supporting your little ones' development. It's also a great opportunity to discover programs and resources to support your children's growth.

  • Fee: $5 each session for the whole family. During your registration, please indicate the number of children to facilitate the activity's organization.

ABOUT ESTELLE

Estelle Poulard, a music teacher for many years, has set up her company Le Petit Conservatoire d'Estelle to offer classes for children of all ages. Children learn to play rhythmic and melodic percussion instruments, such as drums, triangles, xylophones and bells. They also take part in activities to listen to and recognize sounds and instruments. Learning songs and nursery rhymes is an integral part of the workshops. The aim is to develop the child's musical culture, listening skills, concentration and coordination.

Pierre, a famous explorer and writer, regularly travels the world in search of adventure. One evening, he drunkenly climbs the front of a hotel and falls several stories. The shock plunged him into a deep coma. When he wakes up, barely able to stand, and against everyone's advice, he decides to cross France on foot along forgotten paths. A unique, timeless journey, in which the actor follows in the footsteps of Sylvain Tesson to encounter the hyper-rural.
