Come discover the magic of the Butterfly Gardens on a friendly group outing! After sharing a meal at the Société francophone de Victoria, we'll head off to explore a tropical world full of surprises.

You'll have the opportunity to observe butterflies, frogs, turtles, an iguana, a flamingo, free-flying exotic birds, and beautiful tropical gardens. It's a wonderful opportunity to relax, connect with others, and enjoy nature.

A warm and welcoming gathering designed for adults aged 50 and over to meet, chat, build connections, and enjoy a great time together.

Fee: $25 (includes lunch, transportation, and admission to the Butterfly Gardens)

Program:

11:00 a.m. – Welcome and meet at the SFV

11:30 a.m. – Lunch at the SFV

1:00 p.m. – Departure for the Butterfly Gardens

1:30–2:30 p.m. – Visit of the Butterfly Gardens

3:00 p.m. – Return to the SFV

Menu:

• Potato salad
• Red Barn wraps
• Bread
• Brownies
• Coffee and tea

Important notes

• The environment inside the gardens is warm and humid. Please dress accordingly.
• Bring a hat, sunscreen, and sunglasses (especially if you are sensitive to bright light).
• Don't forget to bring your reusable water bottle.

Cancellations made before Friday, July 10 at 11:00 a.m. (PDT) are eligible for a full refund. After Friday, July 10 at 11:00 a.m. (PDT), no refunds can be issued due to expenses already incurred by the Société francophone de Victoria.

Come discover the incredible talents of Francophone youth at Plaza Franco! The SFV is creating a welcoming and supportive space where young people can showcase their talents at Ship Point, right in the heart of downtown Victoria. Music, singing, poetry, comedy… come cheer on our young Francophone community!

Described as one of the most acclaimed Cuban trumpeters of his generation, Miguelito Valdes has performed with many of Cuba's leading artists and contributed to several award-winning recordings. Since moving to Victoria, he has become an active member of the local music scene and has collaborated with the SFV on numerous occasions. The trio—Miguelito Valdes on trumpet, Cynthia Rodriguez on piano, and Hector Ramos on congas—will have audiences moving to the captivating rhythms of Cuban music.
