Community picnic to mark World Refugee Day

Every year on June 20, the world celebrates World Refugee Day, an international day to honor those who have been forced to flee. 📅 Date: Saturday, June 22, 2024 📍 Location: Cadboro-Gyro Park ⏰ Event schedule: 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Detailed Program:

• 11:00 am : Official opening of the event with a welcome speech.
• 11:30 am – 12:30 pm : Enjoy a captivating performance by Mbira Spiri while savoring a meal and taking part in a variety of activities.
• 12:30 – 1:00 pm : A solemn moment with the official proclamation.
• 1:00 – 3:00 pm : Let yourself be carried away by the music Pablo Cardenas, accompanied by a variety of activities for young and old. 

Join us for a day filled with culture, community and celebration. Come and celebrate the resilience and contribution of refugees to our community!
