At 54 years old, Sophie Lavaud embarks on the final climb of an ambitious Himalayan project begun in 2012 with the ascent of the Tibetan Shishapangma, whose summit exceeds 8,000 meters in altitude. In June 2023, she will set off to climb Nanga Parbat, the ninth highest mountain in the world, agreeing to be followed by the camera of a mountain guide and film-maker, François Damilano. Will Sophie Lavaud succeed in honoring her appointment with history?
